NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETY LAUNCH MUTUAL RESPECT AWARDS FOR GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL.

Nationwide was found for the purpose of supporting all it’s members for mutual good and want to build a society built on mutual respect for generations to come.

Nationwide Building Society have launched their Mutual Respect Awards off the back of their partnership with the FA Respect program which aims to make grassroots football more respectful and positive. Nationwide aim to engage 100,000 clubs in the FA Respect program as a part of their three-year partnership.

The awards are open on Nationwide’s Facebook page and anyone can nominate their ‘grassroots respect hero’ – a player, coach, parent or referee for the award but the nominator must be over the age of 18. Nomination window closes on 21 February 2021.

Through their partnership with the FA Nationwide want to celebrate the amazing achievements being made by grassroots football clubs right across the country in building a mutually respectful society together. With the support of the national and regional county FAs across England they’re looking for players, clubs or any officials affiliated to one of the grassroots clubs that have set a brilliant example of mutual respect.

Whether that’s going above and beyond to increase their team’s respect rating on the pitch or demonstrating mutual respect within their club among fellow team players, officials or even through activities within their surrounding community. Nationwide’s aim is to find and create a 12-person dream team of Mutual Respect winners over 2021 (one winner a month) and celebrate the successes that can be achieved together.

The selected winner will not only receive the accolade of being the Mutual Respect Award winner and trophy as proof, but they will also receive tickets to an upcoming England game. Plus, as a nominator you can also receive a signed England shirt.

The award nominations will be judged by a panel at Nationwide Building Society along with an independent judge. All winners will be validated by the FA so make sure your nomination captures the attention of the panel.
