Higham Town F.C. partner with PR Sports Coaching to provide 3 to 5 Year football coaching

Exciting times at Higham Town F.C. with now further growth within its youth section to include 3 – 5 year olds with pathway into our well established U6 setup.

Over the past few weeks, we have been busy behind the scenes working with PR Sports Coaching to fill the gap regarding 3 to 5-year-olds and provide additional summer sports camps across our youth.

With the popularity and expansion of the club on the rise, it has been part of our future strategy to drop our entry age group and cater for players at 3 – 5 prior to our U6’s.  Pete Kirk who currently runs our U6 and has done for many many years often has to turn parents away due to age and tries to focus on those players over 5 ready to build teams into U7.   Now, with the help of this new setup, we can welcome new young football stars into the club who work their way up the ages.

Laura from PR Sports Coaching says “We are excited about our partnership with Higham Town FC, and the introduction of the PRe School Football sessions. After a difficult year for everyone, we feel it is important to get children active and socialised once again. For many of the children, this will be an entirely new experience. Higham Town FC has an established grassroots set up, and a fantastic welcoming family ethos, developing their players and encouraging a passion for football and healthy lifestyles. Our partnership aims to support this and provide an opportunity for younger children to get involved and progress through the Higham Town FC’s player pathway.”

James Sharp Chairman of HTFC says “Its been a pleasure discussing this opportunity with PR Sports Coaching, Laura has shown the utmost professionalism in her sessions and comes with a wealth of knowledge from playing at a senior level at Peterborough United.   We welcome her and her team to Lancaster Park and look forward to a fruitful and longstanding partnership in providing the best possible start for these young players.”

Due to the popularity of these ages, the strategy is to get an initial group firmly underway with more groups being set up with additional coaches where possible.  Finer details are currently being arranged, however, we are setting up a “Register your Interest” so a true picture of numbers can be provided.
